The Grace O’Malley brand is dedicated to the legendary Irish pirate queen, Grainne Ní Mháille/Grace O’Malley, also known as Granuaile. Born into Irish nobility in Co Mayo in 1530, she was a charismatic and natural leader. Gifted as a negotiator, she was a fearless mariner throughout her life and her great rebellious life should never be forgotten.
FROM THE WEST COAST OF IRELAND
TO REBEL HEARTS AROUND THE WORLD
Named after a sixteenth century pirate queen, Grace O’Malley Blended Irish Whiskey delivers everything that drinkers want from an excellent Emerald Isle whiskey: plenty of malt, tinges of nuts and honeycomb, and a long, oak-forward, slightly fiery finish.
Caris carefully matures an army of double- and tripled-distilled whiskeys in a range of barrels, including second-use Jamaican rum, second fill bourbon, and French oak. His prior creds include working as a master blender of a Cognac house, so expect Irish spirits with French finesse.
It resulted in a perfectly balanced whiskey between flavor, age, character and smoothness.
Spirit of the Week: Grace O'Malley is a new Irish whiskey brand dedicated to the eponymous Pirate Queen of legend…. The entry level blended version was also sourced well and has a smooth balance of fruitiness
… The refreshing floral lightly fruity Grace O'Malley Heather Infused Gin has no less than 14 different botanicals, most from the west of Ireland.
Another great choice is their Blended Irish Whiskey. Aged in a variety of hand selected oak, bourbon and rum casks, this smooth and fruity mixture is complex and full of character.
The real magic comes from the maturation and finishing.
